Testimonials - Camp GLOW 2011
"Camp GLOW is the first event that I participated in where we talked so openly about gender awareness and HIV/AIDS. I learned a lot of important facts, the greatest of them all was that in order to be a good leader, one needs devotion and not pride. I also learned that working in a group frequently has positive results. We discussed a lot about HIV/AIDS, its causes, effects, prevention and much more. I believe that if Camp GLOW was made a bigger event and more youth could participate, it would really contribute to combating the HIV/AIDS epidemic.
I enjoyed Camp GLOW very much! I met a lot of amazing people with different views, opinions and personalities. It was a very prominent experience in my life that I will never forget."

"Camp GLOW was the most amazing camp I have ever attended. I learned from camp that true leaders don’t just dream, they wake up and work on their dreams. I learned to accept people for who they are, like Ms. Jacky, [our HIV-positive speaker]. I met new, beautiful and unique people. I also learned to appreciate the little something I get. Camp GLOW made changes in my life."
